I was first being introduced to this singer by my housemate back in Sri Damansara. He was all over heels with Lee Hom since the album Evolution. I wasn’t really keen on Chinese pop music at that time, though, so did not really notice anything.
Anyway. Now that I’ve already got the songs from Evolution, I tried this new album I got from private teacher. After listening through the tracks, I found that I really liked the whole thing.
Besides the evolution of Lee Hom’s music which is focusing towards the hip-hop genre, he is also still doing nice ballads with strings and deep bass which really comes out when I play the songs on my Altec Lansing. It’s not a wonder this American Chinese is one of the top-listed.
