singapore trip: i will never forget this.

On Tuesday, I arrived at the seminar building and met dear dear Z.
After that he went to his seminar and I was alone.
I decided to walk towards the Redhill MRT and just see what’s next.

Overcoming my fear of being alone, I decided to put my traveling instincts one step ahead.

I took the number 33 bus and made my way to the place that I have always been surveying through the internet.

Dropping of the bus when I reached my destination, I decided to walk slowly, with Mika Nakashima True Eyes playing in my mp3 player. I was blindfolded by my excitement.

The NUS Engineering Faculty was in front of me. I am getting closer to my destination.
Regardless of that; I still felt amazed that I have reached NUS anyway.
I walked along the faculty and walked down towards the road next to it.

At the opposite side of the road, there was the University Cultural of Singapore.
Took some pictures of that too. Snap snap.

I WAS HERE. Well said.

And just behind it, there it was.
Standing proud.

Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music.
I could not put in words what I felt at that moment.

I walked towards it.
I slowly touched the glass.
I took my time, savoring the moment.

I entered the building.

I was the only person there, as it was term break.
I was at the center of the building.
I felt serene.
I stood there, listening to the sound of the soft hum of the aircond.
And the distant sound of one piano key, being hit slowly.

There was nobody, but I was imagining it like a movie.
Students dragging their huge cello cases, walking down the isle.
Future musicians, rushing by the corridor, with their French horn and clarinet cases, towards the study room.

And then I came back to reality with the soft aircond hum, and the piano key, being hit slowly.

I was overwhelmed.
This feeling was hugging my whole body and soul; so comforting.
Is this my future?

And I realized that I have created a possibility of me coming back there, with a purpose.

Oh my god! You're going to study music at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music? That's great!!! All the best and may I know what course are you taking? Bachelor of Music? Which orchestra do you play with in Malaysia?

the thing is,
i need to accomplish a lot before i can have the structure to get there.

am doing it now, even though sometimes the progress seem to be so slow and sluggish.
