Regardless that I myself would regularly feel cynical, and resigned, I have created five possibilities in my life.
a) Being a peaceful person, with no judgments, giving up arguments, and listen to people beyond my own opinion.
b) Being a philharmonic level trumpeter.
c) Being competent, and having a lot of skills.
d) Being confident, outgoing, and pleasant in my communication.
e) Being a person who is present and focused and devoted with all the things that I do. That includes leisure and responsibilities.
And these are the five things that I am being, right here, right now.
Of course I need you all to remind me, whenever I am disoriented and out of track.
singapore trip: i will never forget this.
On Tuesday, I arrived at the seminar building and met dear dear Z.
After that he went to his seminar and I was alone.
I decided to walk towards the Redhill MRT and just see what’s next.
Overcoming my fear of being alone, I decided to put my traveling instincts one step ahead.
I took the number 33 bus and made my way to the place that I have always been surveying through the internet.
Dropping of the bus when I reached my destination, I decided to walk slowly, with Mika Nakashima True Eyes playing in my mp3 player. I was blindfolded by my excitement.
The NUS Engineering Faculty was in front of me. I am getting closer to my destination.
Regardless of that; I still felt amazed that I have reached NUS anyway.
I walked along the faculty and walked down towards the road next to it.

At the opposite side of the road, there was the University Cultural of Singapore.
Took some pictures of that too. Snap snap.

I WAS HERE. Well said.
And just behind it, there it was.
Standing proud.

Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music.
I could not put in words what I felt at that moment.
I walked towards it.
I slowly touched the glass.
I took my time, savoring the moment.

I entered the building.

I was the only person there, as it was term break.
I was at the center of the building.
I felt serene.
I stood there, listening to the sound of the soft hum of the aircond.
And the distant sound of one piano key, being hit slowly.

There was nobody, but I was imagining it like a movie.
Students dragging their huge cello cases, walking down the isle.
Future musicians, rushing by the corridor, with their French horn and clarinet cases, towards the study room.
And then I came back to reality with the soft aircond hum, and the piano key, being hit slowly.
I was overwhelmed.
This feeling was hugging my whole body and soul; so comforting.
Is this my future?
And I realized that I have created a possibility of me coming back there, with a purpose.

singapore trip: astounding nature, exciting leisure
Pictures of nature and leisure when I was there in Singapore.

It appears like a nightmare in your sleep.
Picture taken end of the tunnel, Underwater World.

These good fortune fishes are so friendly. They are in a huge pool inside Fullerton Hotel.
They would go near to have you touch them, just like the sting ray in the Underwater World’s interactive tank.

It’s so calm, refreshing and hip to be in a gym which overlooks one of the seascape of Singapore. While running on the treadmill, you can see the huge cruise ships passing by. After done working out, you can have some treat at any coffee shop in Vivo City Mall.

Jelly fishes swimming in a calming rhythm, like a painting.
Taken in Underwater World.

This peculiar minute sea creature lives in cold temperature of 2 degrees.
When seen closer, you can see two ‘wings’ attached on their backs.
They use these ‘wings’ to swim, hence called the flying angels.

How nice is it to walk at the beach, while eating Ben and Jerry ice cream.
Of course my choice would be strawberry cheese cake.
Nothing is as nice as cheese. Ops.

Taken at the window sill at the apartment I am staying at,
These Asian flower really match with the thin dark cocoa organza curtains.

Can you see me standing on the letter I?
Along this beach, cute Singaporeans play water volleyball with wearing only their Bermudas.

The first thing that I walked through when I left the apartment is this breathtaking green scenery, before going down towards the huge houses placed neatly beside each other.

Sized as huge as a single bed, this species survived the Jurassic era.

I got the time to capture this beautiful shade of cobalt blue, as night time comes and as it started to drizzle in Pahlawan Beach.

As I walk through the public HDB apartments towards the food stalls, I went through this wooden pathway with pretty pale purple flowers.

This bird, like others of the same spieces, roam freely on Sentosa Island.

Red flowers captured in Orchard Road.

This huge Japanese spider crab has a body as big as a round table, and legs that can clasp a whole Mini Cooper. Aliens.

Going to Singapore is never complete if I don’t eat the unagi Mos Burger.

I spot this squirrel outside my window one morning.
If lucky, one can see the hornbills, kingfishers and other species of birds.

singapore trip: the community
Having myself staying in Singapore for five days got me to walk along the street just like the people who live there. I got to take these pictures.

Each housing area will have the benefit of having a very huge library.

This is a secondary school taken near the Redhill MRT station.

This is what we would call as street shops just a walking distance from the apartments and flats.

A new villa being built at Lavender Street.

Pretty renovated flats at Beach Road.
Apartment blocks being repainted, renovated and maintained is a culture here.

The same villa, taken at a different view.

Public HDB apartments just across the Redhill MRT.

A temple next to the houses.

Tiga sekawan.

Besides having street shops, each cluster of residential area would have a small mall like this Tiong Baru Plaza.

singapore trip: the city center
I had so much fun last Monday, when the seminar allowed us a whole day free.
I am so grateful that my Singaporean friend is so generous to get an off day from work and brought me to the city.

The Paragon Mall, Orchard Rd.

The Durian, Esplanade.

The famous city skyscape.

Artwork in the city.

China Town.

Reminds them of the past.

The business district.

singapore trip: houses on the hill
singapore trip: amazing hospitality
Last week I had a very momentuous week.
I went to stay in Singapore.
I attended a forum there.
The people there were so friendly, sometimes I forgot that I was outside Malaysia.
I used to be already always listening about stories that they are snobbish,
but now I give that up. I can understand that they have a wonderful pride of their country, and I think that's just noble.
I was lucky that Dear Dear Z knows a very pleasant couple there,
and I stayed at their house.
Gone were my worries on where should I stay.
These are the pictures of their beautiful place.

My bedroom, cosy and calming.

The bathroom in my bedroom, white and squeaky clean.
There's a shower room too!

The windows next to the entrance door.

From the tv set, you could see the reflection of the couch in the living room.
